It’s almost 18 months since we last featured German musician, DJ and producer Zedd with a track that went on to become an international smash, Stay The Night featuring Hayley Williams from Paramore. That song narrowly missed hitting No.1 in the UK but now he’s back with another massive collaboration. With vocals this time around from Selena Gomez, the track was co-written by her and Ryan Tedder. It’s the first cut from his forthcoming album True Colors (released May 18) and the stats for the single are already enormous. YouTube video views are at 21million plus 20million on top for the official audio version. The track has hit No.1 on iTunes in over 30 countries, it’s in the US Top 10 airplay chart, topped the US Shazam Future Hits chart, shifted almost half a million downloads in the States and has racked up over 40 million Spotify streams outside America too. With summer on the way, pop with an EDM edge becomes the sound that the whole world willingly responds to. Zedd’s at the forefront once more and this feels unstoppable.
