We say

It’s almost two years since we last heard from Swiss Lips. The five-piece from Manchester, fronted by Sam Hammond, were formerly signed with Epic and built up a strong following thanks to live dates with Bastille and some major support via Radio 1 and NME for tracks like U Got The Power and Danz. Now with a new deal and around forty fresh songs to their name, they’re finally about to release their self-titled debut album from the pick of those newer tracks. This rather brilliant retro synth-pop-influenced nugget comes as the first fruits of their labours. Lyrically, it’s clear that they want to be perceived as starting anew and smashing up the past with a chorus that truly screams for your attention. Driven along by a pulsing synth bassline reminiscent of the one that powers along Kim Wilde's 1981 classic Kids In America, the production on this just smacks you straight between the ears. It's ambitious, modern pop and we reckon it’s their best track to date.
