We say

Bradley Craig and Isaac McFarlane are Two Cartoons, a pair of quirky New Zealanders who are now based in London. Already critically acclaimed back home for their first two EPs Jelly Tip Lips and Tiny Terrors, the word is spreading further afield now. This great song is the lead and title track to their latest EP. Musically we hear hints of Vampire Weekend from the recent past, alongside a nod or two towards fellow Kiwi favourites from the 80s, Split Enz. Strong on melody with a summery festival vibe permeating, they’ve played alongside Tame Impala and Ladyhawke in New Zealand and supported Ball Park Music and label-mates The Chills here in the UK. There’s an EP launch gig at north London venue The Islington on March 18 during week of release. Another EP track Horizon Approaching has racked up over 160,000 Spotify plays in under a fortnight and featured on Steve Lamacq’s show on 6 Music. This screams to be heard in sunshine surroundings on a festival stage later this year and seems destined to be a bit of a hipster anthem, we reckon.
