Long Night
We say
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, alt-rock band Guster have built up a loyal underground following since forming whilst still college kids in the early '90s. After beginning life as a three-piece with acoustic guitars and bongos, they’ve grown with their fans over the years and the expanded line-up has played sold-out shows at legendary venues like Radio City Music Hall in New York and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. It’s over a decade since they last came to the UK to perform but return soon for a date at Bush Hall on March 4 to promote their latest album Evermotion from where this soft shuffling and ethereal track comes. It's a glorious aural soundscape that blends the dreamy guitar sounds of Mazzy Star with the vocal feel of MGMT at their most accessible. Produced by Richard Swift, bass player with The Black Keys and keyboardist for The Shins, it’s a wonderful track to just close your eyes and lose yourself in. Those warm spring days and nights can’t come soon enough and this could be the perfect soundbed to them all.
