We say

In the week that the song finally cracks the UK Top 20 for the very first time, despite already having steadily sold more than 250,000 units and slipping under the mainstream radar at commercial radio, we declare the stunning Take Me To Church to be our prestigious Record Of The Year. We first wrote about Hozier in our Compass section of the weekly magazine in October 2013, then featured the track From Eden in April and declared him to be ‘a talent we’ll be talking about as a platinum-selling star for years to come’. Worldwide the stats are already staggering. Heading for two million download sales of the track so far and over 100 million listeners at radio in this past week alone in the US, it's currently no.2 on Billboard’s Hot 100, platinum and gold in eight European countries, no.1 globally on both Spotify and Shazam right now, Grammy nominated for Song Of The Year and the stunning video is picking up five million plays a week worldwide. It’s a testament to managers Denis and Caroline who spotted this 16 year-old kid eight years ago, developing and nurturing him throughout that time. This is just the beginning and we’re proud to have been supporting him right across 2014. Our huge congratulations go out to the team at Rubyworks in County Dublin and to every other single person involved in this incredible project to date in the UK, the US and around the world.
