Stuck In This Mess
We say
Whatever music you now favour, we bet you grew up loving unpretentious, straight-down-the-middle pop songs. They used to be the lifeblood of our industry before everyone seemingly turned too cool for their own good. So manufactured group EverYoung could instantly be considered an anomaly in 2015 but this is simply a great track in the tradition of gems that Max Martin conjured up for Britney or The Backstreet Boys in their heyday. Eyal, Jack, Cherelle and Hollie are all graduates of the Sylvia Young Theatre School and it’s great to see they’re nurturing their fanbase from grass roots through regional radio and roadshow events, teen press, Chart Show TV support and even an Attitude mag shoot with the boys, set to appear next month. They play London’s O2 Academy in Islington on December 21 and award-winning actor Jeremy Irons appeared in the video for previous-single Starchaser. Whilst the industry is seemingly looking the other way, there’s every chance that pure pop might wrong-foot everyone quite dramatically in 2015, with this lot shining through.
