With a standout track from her Holy Water EP, released through her own label, Laurel is a 20 year-old Southampton girl who’s sold more than 15,000 singles independently throughout this past year. She’s had her songs synced across 2014 on several key US TV shows including The Vampire Diaries and Beauty & The Beast, has charted on the billboard.com Emerging Artists Top 40, toured with acts like John Newman and Dan Croll, has had over 1.5 million Spotify plays and achieved 1.1 million streams on SoundCloud. Now she’s gearing up for her debut album, expected next autumn, which she’s currently writing and self-producing at her home studio. With support from BBC Introducing, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens at Radio 1, Dermot O’Leary at Radio 2, Tom Robinson at 6Music and John Kennedy at Xfm, she couldn’t wish for a better start. Ethereal, uplifting, moody and remarkably accomplished, Laurel will be one of 2015’s word-of-mouth success stories, we reckon, both on record and at music festivals worldwide.
