Over My Head
We say
Johnny Lucas hails from Warrington and has been picked up by BBC Introducing in the past few months, thanks to this fine song, able to hold its own in amongst the wealth of acoustic guitar-based singer-songwriters out there right now. High street coffee chain Caffè Nero obviously like his upbeat, optimistic sound too as he’s currently selected on their website as December's Artist Of The Month, someone they reckon could be the next big thing in the UK, is being played in their outlets and performing live in several of their flagship locations. With production on the track coming from Fred Cox, who’s recently worked with Joel Compass, Kwabs and Wretch 32, it’s a clean, crisp punter-friendly sound complete with a sing-a-long chorus hook. When former Radio 1 presenter Ally McCrae played him on his show a few months back, he mentioned that loads of people had been in touch to say they loved what they heard. Currently nearing the end of a 52 date UK tour, watch that fanbase keep growing over the coming 12 months.
