Californian four-piece Echosmith are seeing this sleeper track now blow up across the globe after shifting more than a million copies of the song in the USA this year. With over 18 million views of the video and more than 67 million Spotify streams notched up worldwide, it’s been championed here in the UK by Fearne Cotton at Radio 1 and the station recently had this as their Track Of The Day. Comprising of the four Sierota siblings, the group formed five years ago but it’s this brilliantly radio-friendly solid indie-pop nugget that’s truly struck a chord with the public, thanks to the addictive ’I wish that I could be like the cool kids’ chorus hook. Their gig at London’s Barfly was sold out last night but they’ll be back in the UK again early in the new year. The tremendous single comes from the album Talking Dreams, which is released here on December 29. It makes no difference whether you’re a nerd or a hipster, take one listen to this and it’ll be with you for life.
