With two singles already under their belt, Years & Years seem at their most confident yet on this superb track. Coming fresh from recent nationwide tours with Sam Smith and Clean Bandit, a TV debut on Later… with Jools Holland and a UK Top 10 feature, where singer Olly Alexander lent his distinctive vocals to The Magician’s summer hit Sunlight, their latest single looks set to only increase their ever-growing status. Inspired by the sounds of early 1990’s Chicago house music, the song builds on the momentum the trio have gathered through those previous releases - Real notched up over two million plays and Take Shelter saw the band playlisted at Radio 1, hit No.1 on the iTunes electronic chart and achieve over three million video views online. Currently on Radio 1’s B-list and Kiss Fresh’s playlist, it's given them a third No.1 on Hype Machine. Now that Desire has entered the Shazam Future Hits chart this week, this impressive, exciting single will undoubtedly prove to be their mainstream breakthrough.
