Death's Kiss
We say
Blending English folk music, vintage psychedelic and prog rock in a very unique way, Purson formed three years ago after singer Roaslie Cunningham disbanded her previous group Ipso Facto. On first listen, we were reminded of Grace Slick with Jefferson Airplane vocally and with their second album due in March next year, they've been nominated alongside Royal Blood as one of the ten best new bands at the forthcoming Classic Rock Awards. They start a UK headline tour in Reading next week, play London's Borderline on October 28 and are looking to perform over 100 gigs throughout 2015, including several major act support slots. You can hear them tonight (October 9) live in session for Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music - Freakzone, Radcliffe & Maconie and Lamacq are also fans along with XFM, Radio 1's rock show, Kerrang Radio and magazine, Mojo, Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Planet Rock and Teamrock. Watch this band grow and grow in stature over the coming months. Seems like wearing your cool retro influences with pride is truly the way ahead these days.
