We say

George The Poet caused quite a buzz last year when he appeared on Later with Jools and Radio 1Xtra's Live Lounge. Now things are hotting up for him further as he prepares to release his debut album next year. He's been working with the likes of Mr Hudson, Sly & Robbie, MJ Cole and others and sets things up with a concept EP The Chicken And The Egg (released on Chris Blackwell's new imprint PALM on October 20), plus this totally separate standalone track a week earlier. George was born in Uganda, grew up in north London and went on to study at Cambridge University where he discovered his passion for rhyme and performing. Now he's racked up more than four million YouTube views, has become a favourite with the royal princes William and Harry and is a charity ambassador for Prince Andrew and the BBC Diversity Trust. Soon he supports Maverick Sabre on his UK tour and will appear as a headliner at the Island Life event at London's Scala on October 13 (tickets). A genuine one-off talent, we're impressed by the inspiring, empowering message in this thought-provoking track.
