Currently unsigned outside his native Australia, Dan Sultan is an award-winning artist who recently supported Bruce Springsteen there and has just released his fourth album Blackbird, which flew straight into the Top 5 on the ARIA chart. Recorded in Nashville with producer Jacquire King (who picked up a Grammy for his work on the global smash Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon), this is solid, dependable blues-infused rock with a great melody hook at every twist and turn. After picking up more plaudits recently at the National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA’s) and having just completed a sold-out headline tour in Australia, Dan's coming to the UK. He's set to play London's Bush Hall on September 30 then hits New York and Los Angeles in early October. With a raspy, soulful vocal combining elements of Lenny Kravitz, Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and Danny from The Script plus a polished, radio-friendly sound, worldwide success and huge album sales seem much-deserved.
