As well as having a BAFTA award to her name for the theme music to the excellent Scandi TV cop drama Wallander, the supremely talented Emily Barker is also the stunning voice here with Vena Portae. Formed a couple of years ago as a bit of a side project, the Anglo-Swedish trio also comprises of the wonderfully named singer-songwriter Dom Coyote and producer-musician Ruben Engzell. Last weekend they did a superb live session on BBC Radio 2 for Dermot O'Leary and continue to tour the UK until the end of the month, with a London date next week at Camden's Green Note on August 27. Then Nashville beckons for Emily and her regular band The Red Clay Halo with a prestigious gig at the Americana Music Festival on September 19. Peter Morén (one third of Peter, Bjorn and John) has remixed this fabulous track and we promise that just one listen will make you yearn for it to be your soundtrack to endless summer days for the rest of your life. Simply gorgeous.
