Caught In The Moonlight
We say
Harking back to the great old-skool R&B vocalists of the past, Si Cranstoun is a name to watch over the coming months as his profile grows in the mainstream media. This is an unashamedly retro-sounding, soulful track with a great melody and chorus that'll simply connect with people whenever they hear it. An album is set for October and you can expect him to appeal to the same audience that has made Michael Buble and The Overtones platinum-selling acts in the past five years. One key tastemaker he can already call a fan is Sir Terry Wogan at BBC Radio 2 where he did a terrific session a few weeks ago for his Sunday morning show, listened to by almost two million people. He'll take to the stage for the station's Proms In the Park event at London's Hyde Park on September 13 and most likely win over a whole new legion of admirers in the process. We love to embrace all genres of music here, of course. Forget how uncool you might perceive this to be and remember the name because if anyone's going to breakthrough and sell a ton of albums this Christmas, Si's your guy.
