Lay Me Down
We say
There's not much we can say about Avicii that you probably don't already know. 2013's UK million-seller Wake Me Up set things up perfectly for his debut album True and a string of pop monsters from it have followed in the past 12 months, all created with almost laser-precision to sound perfect on both the radio and dancefloors worldwide. We featured the mighty Hey Brother last November and the hits keep on coming. Currently sitting in the UK Top 40 as a collaborator with Coldplay on their track A Sky Full Of Stars, this next single in his own name was co-written by the legendary Nile Rodgers (who also plays guitar on the song) and vocals come from Adam Lambert, one of the most unique talents to emerge from the TV reality show American Idol. Early support came from Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Dance Anthems on Radio 1, Steve Smart and Wideboys at Kiss as well as Clubbers Guide and Coco Cole. Now it's just been added to next week's Radio 1 C-list plus it already sits on the playlist at Kiss Fresh and Capital Xtra. Funky as hell, just you try sitting still throughout this beast of a groove.
