Bound To Fall
We say
Born in France but now based in London, Sophie Delila has certainly paid her dues so far. As a teen she won a scholarship at Boston's prestigious Berkley School of Music before then going on to work at studios by day, then gigging by night in New York. We first featured her in 2012 with the wonderful What Did I Do. She's written songs for Duffy and Rumer, duetted with Plan B, performed live as part of Nouvelle Vague, toured with Lionel Richie and Mika and tonight (May 14) is special guest to the legendary Jeff Beck on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall. She's co-written tracks on his upcoming solo album and after six years living in the UK and working on her own songs, she's about to release her album My Life Could Use A Remix which features this single, perfectly crafted with pure class. You can catch her live performing songs from it when she plays at the Roundhouse Studios on June 12. Inspired by the accidental death of a friend, tunes like this never go out of fashion. With its theme being that we should all enjoy life's highs and lows because we simply have no clue what's around the corner, it just oozes with timeless quality that you'll immediately connect with. Indulge yourself.
