Tokyo
We say
We've featured Bristolian five-piece The Ramona Flowers a couple of times before, most recently last April with the track Lust & Lies. So we're glad to report that things are moving along nicely in anticipation of their debut album Dismantle & Rebuild (recorded at the band's renowned Distillery Studios in Bath, produced by Andy Barlow from Lamb and set for release on July 14). In the past 12 months, the band has supported Bastille across the UK, Bombay Bicycle Club on their major tour across Europe in February and Foxes on their UK & Ireland dates last month. Now they're about to play their own headline show at London's Sebright Arms on April 24 before embarking on the summer music festival circuit. This track, remixed by Thom Alt-J and Eagles For Hands has a beautifully stylized video to go with it and the vibe around Steve Bird's lead vocal is reminiscent of those wonderful late-90s maverick innovators Mansun, blending guitars with dance grooves to create flowing, electronic pop that's truly unique to them. Keep it coming.
