We say

It was the joyous, ELO-tastic harmonies that immediately caught our ear on 70s-inspired pop smash Glowing late last year, an anachronistic but welcome injection of sunshine as the November nights drew in. Heading to YouTube we found an engrossing video, sans artist credit, interspersing scenes of a heart-warming lifelong love story with footage of starving children, mutilated animals and other equally uplifting clips of death and defilement. The video turned out to be the work of one Tyler, The Creator, and the song the creation of D.A. Wallach, a US recording artist discovered by Kanye West and Pharrell Williams as an undergraduate at Harvard. The video was premiered on NPR.org, quickly becoming their most-read story, and is now on 260k views and counting. Press runs from Best Fit to Billboard, and UK radio plays have so far come in from Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton. Lord knows where it sits, but we love that it defies expectation at every turn. Bonkers but beautiful.
