Little Bit More
We say
There's a neat irony to the fact that Bo Saris is from Haarlem, the Dutch town that gave its name to the spiritual home of soul music in New York City. That he's neither black nor American are no barrier to his seemingly effortless knack for channeling the golden era of vintage soul such as Ben E. King, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Al Green and Marvin Gaye. Dre Harris-produced (Michael Jackson, Usher, Chris Brown) Little Bit More is the next track to be taken from The Addict EP, the title track of which was a Next Hype for Zane Lowe, picking up a Smash of the Week from 1Xtra's Sarah-Jane Crawford and numerous spins from Annie Mac. Dutchness and dance music seem to go hand-in-hand these days, and London-based Saris is no exception: he has written and lends his voice to a track on the new Chase & Status album, appears on the forthcoming Bondax album, while The Addict has become a club hit in its own right thanks to a remix from Todd Edwards. A further track, She's On Fire, is still to come and bears all the hallmarks of crossover potential.
