Rescue
We say
If you thought The Feeling had disappeared into obscurity after 2011's Together We Were Made, you were right. Recall though that obscurity was precisely the place their multi-platinum debut Twelve Stops And Home emerged from fully formed in 2006. Like Twelve Stops, new album Boy Cried Wolf - out October 7 - was recorded and produced by the band themselves, this time in the east London pub that singer Dan Gillespie-Sells bought and turned into a combined home and studio. It has the feel of a band rejuvenated, freed from pressure to do anything other than what they do best, which is write honest, melodic pop-rock that's tailor-made for grown-up radio. Accordingly lead single Rescue has received solid support from Radio 2 following a premiere from Ken Bruce, with regional radio also picking up well. After a string of festival dates over the summer, the band embark on an 11-date UK tour in October. Whisper it: The Feeling just got good again.
