Rays
We say
Newly signed to Xtra Mile Recordings - home of Frank Turner, The Xcerts and Against Me! among others - in its tenth anniversary year, London indie-folk quintet To Kill A King have been steadily building their profile with a series of well-received self-releases following their 2011 debut on Communion. The Guardian, Mojo, Q, The Fly and Artrocker number among press fans to date, while radio love has come in the form of evening playlists at Xfm and Absolute, with specialist plays at Radio 1 (Phil & Alice), Radio 2, Amazing Radio, Absolute and BBC London. Rousing new track Rays, whose did-that-really-just-happen video premiered on VEVO last night, is the first single from debut album Cannibals With Cutlery, re-released as a shiny deluxe edition on October 7 with four new tracks. A forthcoming UK and European tour with Bastille should grow their fanbase still further, as will appearances at Bestival and Reading/Leeds, and a headline tour of the UK in October.
London gigs: O2 Academy Brixton, October 15 (Bastille support) / Koko, October 29
