Dusk
We say
Unsigned New York dream-folk quartet Wilsen crept onto the scene earlier this year as we quietly fell in love with Anahita, seven sublime minutes of slow-building melancholia that had the blogosphere breathless and specialist radio enraptured, with plays from Nemone and Mary Anne Hobbs on 6Music and an Amazing Radio playlist addition. Captivating follow-up Dusk, the second single from their self-released mini-album Sirens, likewise has online press as in thrall to singer Tamsin Wilson's delicate, wistful singing as to a hushed and heavenly B-side interpretation of Grimes' Oblivion. On the live front, Wilsen have headlined Communion New York, and have just returned from supporting Daughter on their North American tour. A Daytrotter session has just gone live, which includes album opener House On A Hill, recently selected for Artist Spotlight on iTunes in the US. Best enjoyed repeatedly.
