We say

With debut album Sistrionix dropping on June 24, all the indications are that LA blues-rock duo and long-time RotD favourites Deap Vally are translating media furore into real connection. Brighton's hippest young things turned out in force for three riotous and talked-about Great Escape shows last weekend (hailed as 'a revelation' by the Independent on Sunday), ahead of a sold-out Scala show last Wednesday - their biggest headline gig to date. Ferocious new single Baby I Call Hell has had a great start at radio, with continued support from Xfm and Radio 1 plays from Zane, Phil & Alice, Huw Stephens and Sara Cox, while a Later ... With Jools appearance tomorrow will bring the girls' formidable live act to a whole new audience. Press now seems to be building beyond the music titles, with Guardian G2 and Metro adding features to support from NME, Clash and Artrocker. The video also looks to be performing well at close to 300k views - already well over half the tally of January's Lies. Retire to a safe distance: Deap Vally are about to blow.
