Rising New York girl/boy duo MS MR herald the release of debut album Secondhand Rapture with new single Hurricane, another classy cut of pop-noir portent which follows the INMWT-listed Fantasy. Plot for the group might best be described as textbook: blog adulation translating to a Hype Machine no. 1; early press running the gamut from Pitchfork via NME and the Guardian to Company and Esquire; radio love from Zane Lowe, Sara Cox, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw; breakout success at SXSW and a Games of Thrones sync, and now celebrity endorsements from Jay-Z and Tom Ford. The DIY video for Hurricane has picked up over 1.5m views since being posted last year, while the Luke Gilford-directed official clip is approaching 350k after just 10 days. Currently touring with Jessie Ware in the US, the band follow thier Glastonbury appearance with a European tour in July, including a sold-out headline show at London's Electric Ballroom. Consider every box ticked.
