Full Circle
We say
If SXSW 2013 belonged to one band, it was Canadian trio and long-time RotD favourites Half Moon Run. Nine shows in five days is a remarkable work rate even by Austin standards, and with growing audiences at each one the trajectory was very much 'up'. Hooked on its blend of Haight-Ashbury psychedelia and Fleet Foxes-esque harmony, we first featured Full Circle last May when the band performed at our Great Escape showcase in Brighton. Now signed to Glassnote for the world ex-Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and released through Communion/Island for the UK and Europe, a solid label and PR team offer the best possible chance of turning tastemaker acclaim into international crossover success. With video views for Full Circle now approaching half a million, Half Moon Run play a headline show in London on Monday, ahead of support slots for Mumford & Sons in Europe and Of Monsters & Men in America.
