Already a cult hit in the US, where it has received plaudits from Pitchfork, The Fader and Spin through to the New York Times and Rolling Stone, Sky Ferreira's sultry Everything Is Embarrassing now gets a deserving release in the UK. Co-written by Ferreira with Ariel Rechtshaid (Usher, Major Lazer, Plain White T's) and Dev Hynes (Florence & The Machine, Diana Vickers), the track was named New York Magazine's Song of the Year in 2012, landing her a slot on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Sky played two sell-out shows at Madam Jo Jo's and XOYO in February, followed by several talked-about performances at SXSW. Solid Radio 1 support from Nick Grimshaw, Annie Mac and Phil Taggart & Alice Levine, plus a Top 5 placing in the Upfront Club Top 40 are just the start this classy track deserves.
