The reaction to Lies has been explosive, backing up tastemaker assertion that Deap Vally are one of the hottest new bands for 2013. The fan response to the accompanying video has been by far the duo's most impressive yet, picking up 100k views in only six days and seeing early TV support from MTV Rocks. Couple that with ongoing radio support from Radio 1, Xfm, 6 Music, Kerrang! and a list of end of year tips that reads like an indie crossover act's dream, including, amongst others, inclusion in NME’s 'Top 3 Acts For 2013', a big nod from Line of Best Fit, and Xfm’s Great X-Pectations. The LA band's online numbers offer some standout stats, in the last month alone their Facebook 'likes' grew 20% with fan engagement up 169%. Upcoming highlights will see them play Brixton Academy with The Cribs for the NME Awards Show, before embarking on a UK headline tour at the end of February, to include the girls' biggest headline to date - at Dingwalls - a date that is destined to sellout, with only a few tickets remaining. Those key shows are followed by a hugely coveted tour slot with British folk darlings Mumford & Sons in Europe throughout March ahead of their debut album, scheduled for a May 6 release. Video.
