We say
We featured Kristina Train's Dream Of Me in July, describing her as "very much the 'real deal'" and since then it would seem that the wider press agree also. The Sunday Times has drawn parallels between her and Aretha Franklin whilst The Sun recently labelled Train as the next Karen Carpenter; the Mercury-signed artist certainly has credentials to her name. Born in New York and raised in Savannah, Georgia, the singer states her eclectic influences to include the likes of Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen, and it's tracks like Dark Black for which phrases like "oozes class" were made for. It's seductive and sumptuous enough to win over live audiences and radio playlists, with its vintage feeling production and gloriously languid pace.Kristina's supporting Amy Macdonald on a UK tour later this month, with a London date at Royal Festival Hall on 6 November.
