We say
The bitter-lyriced Silver Tongue isn't just Zulu Winter's best track yet, but probably the best pop song we've heard from a guitar band this year. It follows We Should Be Swimming, which picked up 350,000 YouTube views, was B-listed on 6Music, and played by the majority of Radio 1's DJs with Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank, Fearne Cotton, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens all pitching in support. The radio appeal for Silver Tongue is undeniable, and should see it surpass that, picking up a Zane Lowe 'Hottest Record In The World' last night (April 3), and plenty of champions in the press, including NME, a 'New to Q' double page feature/single review, Observer live review and further love from Artrocker and Loud & Quiet. Their debut album - Language - is out May 14.London gigs: 17 May, Boston Arms N19 // 18/19 June, Brixton Academy SW9
