Love Me

Artist: Stooshe ft. Travie McCoy
Label: Warner Bros.
Impact date: March 5
ROTD featured date: Wednesday 18 January 2012

We say

Returning with their tongue-in-cheek attitude, pop pioneers Stooshe are kicking off 2012 with this hugely entertaining pop smash. It's already picking up huge steam online, matching debut single - Betty Woz Gone - with an incredible 100,000 YouTube plays on its first day. The BBC Sound of 2012 nominated three-piece now have combined video views of over a million, with positive press coming from the likes of The Independent, The Daily Star, RWD, The Mirror and Top of the Pops, plus peer approval from Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks and Wretch 32. Love Me features a rap from Travie McCoy, a man not unfamiliar with hits, having enjoyed the No.1 spot with solo single Billionaire (which featured Bruno Mars), as well as four top 10s with his band Gym Class Heroes. Combine that with Future Cut production (Lily Allen, Professor Green, Wretch 32), three girls full of wit and talent, and you might just have a hit. Video.

London Gig: January 30, w/Gym Class Heroes, Koko NW1 // February 11, HMV Next Big Thing, w/Labrinth, Jazz Cafe NW1 (sold out)
