This surf-rock gem has been part of a wave which has elevated French Films onto the radar of tastemaker blogs the world over. The band are currently in the UK headlining Nordic clubnight Ja Ja Ja's second birthday party tonight, which also sees support from Marit Larson and Soley. The Finnish five-piece have been picking up healthy radio around Europe, and are now embarking on a mammoth international tour. French Films have attracted fans at major labels and publishers in both the UK and the US, and are also on the hunt for a management collaboration. It seems unlikely these incredibly cool indie kids will remain unsigned for much longer; none the less, showcases lined up at Eurosonic, CMW and SXSW will no doubt add supporters to their growing fanbase.
