Old Statues

We say

This beautifully textured song comes from Oklahoma's Other Lives. The state name comes from Okla humma meaning 'red people', and you can imagine a cowboy and Indian showdown epic to the sound of Old Statues. Second album Tamer Animals has been met with a strong thumbs up: MOJO, Uncut, Q, The Sun, The Independent are all fans, with The Guardian dedicating a full page spread in last Friday's Guardian to the band. Radio is equally strong, the band have done interviews on Radio 1 with Zane Lowe, Radio 2 with Dermot O’Leary, Radio 4’s Loose Ends, 6Music’s Radcliffe & Maconie and Xfm X-posure. Other Lives are currently touring the UK and Europe, we highly recommend you catch their emotive dark tones when they come to London.

London Gig: November 21, St Giles Church WC2
