After captivating us with his ice cool soulful vocal on Gorillaz standout single Doncomatic last year, Daley was highlighted on the 2011 BBC 'Sound of' poll. His mixtape -Those Who Wait - features appearances from Gorillaz and Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry. Released in September it has been downloaded 21,000 times. Daley is busy working on his debut album with Dre of Dre and Vidal (Alicia Keys, Usher), Bernard Butler (Suede, Tricky) and Shea Taylor (Ne-Yo, Beyonce). The 22 year old recently appeared on Jools Holland with Wretch 32 performing their track Long Way Home. Another track from this mixtape - Game Over - was playlisted on 1Xtra, supported by Mistajam, Ronnie Herel, Jo Whiley and Trevor Nelson. Tipped as 'the future of homegrown soul' by The Guardian we can't wait to hear Daley's full debut album, but until then this is a fantastic track to tide us over. Download mixtape here.
