We say
We first featured this lively Motown-influenced track from Essex band The Milk in demo form last September to a great response. It's now their first single, out on Naim Edge at the end of the month. It comes following a sold-out XOYO Tips For 2011 show in January and a Barfly headline show as part of HMV’s Next Big Thing festival. This single, which has topped the Play.com mp3 pre-order chart for several weeks, has been getting upfront support from Huey Morgan at 6Music, who has had them in session, and spot plays on XFM. Positive early press followed our feature, including The Guardian's New Band of the Day (this 'killer track (is) pure fire and skill', wrote Paul Lester) and Neon Gold. A further glimpse of what they're capable of can be heard the equally impressive B-roads, which you can stream here. They play Gold Dust in Hoxton next week.London gig: Gold Dust @ Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen N1 (tickets)
