We say
Sparkadia is Alex Burnett, an Australian-born London-based solo artist. The follow-up to his well-received 2009 album Postcards is The Great Impression, produced by Mark Tieku (Florence & The Machine, Cocknbullkid). The album has landed a surprise breakout radio hit in Australia in the shape of Talking Like I’m Falling Down Stairs. Live shows are kicking up a buzz over here following tastemaker label/club night Gold Dust's 7” release of Mary, which had featured track slots in NME, Q and rcrdlbl. China, an outstanding piece of epic pop, is a massive radio hit in Australia at the moment, one of the most-played tracks on Triple J and Nova. The finished album is available for the world excl. Aus/NZ. Video.London gig: March 9, Music Week presents Breakout at Proud Galleries NW1 (industry guestlist)
