We say

Various Cruelties have been gaining the attentions of labels, blogs and wider media since they first appeared late last year with a small clutch of tracks. Their second ever gig was with The Vaccines at White Heat, which resulted in plenty of blog coverage and A&R interest. Most of the 500 7" singles have been sold on eBay and in independent shops. This assured and addictive track is one of the sides. Daytime Radio 1 plays for the band have come from Huw Stephens, with further support from Zane Lowe and 6Music and Radio 2 plays from Steve Lamacq and press mentions in NME and Independent - all without a plugger or press person. They play tonight in The Jericho Tavern in Oxford (stage time 21:00), with more London dates lined up.

London Gig: February 18, The Old Queen’s Head N1
