Currently working with hot production duo The Knocks, Alex Winston hails from Detroit but now lives in New York. Her music has been steadily picking up online coverage and sync action, with spots on shows like Entourage, Drop Dead Diva and One Tree Hill with some commercial licenses of tracks to come. Winston is being touted as the hot unsigned act for CMJ, where she'll be making her live debut for the NME's showcase and the Chess Club / Neon Gold gig. In the UK, The Guardian's Paul Lester is among those to sing her praises so far, singling out the 'maddeningly catchy melody' on the excellent Choice Notes and this delightful track.
