We say
Alex Cornish's 2007 debut album Until The Traffic Stops was conceived, recorded and produced in his Edinburgh bedroom. It provoked an outstanding response at radio, all the more impressive considering its DIY origins. Three singles spent a total of 13 weeks on the Radio 2 playlist and he played sessions for Radio 2 , 6 Music, Radio 1, XFM, and BBC Radio Scotland. A 30 date tour supporting Alison Moyet followed and recent supports include Amy Macdonald, Sandi Thom and Tom McRae. His new record Call Back is released at the end of September. First single Once More I’m Put to the Test, mixed by Jay Reynolds (Just Jack, Paloma Faith) is out on September 20. This track is currently being used on US TV on Showtime's recently premiered The Big C. Early radio support for Alex here has come in the form of another session for Dermot O'Leary on Radio 2.London gig: November 25 Bush Hall W12
