We first featured Dark Room Notes' punchy and brooding synth- pop sound with this track back in March 2008, just after they released it as their debut single in their native Ireland. They are now signed to independent stalwarts Barely Breaking Even (BBE) and this is their first single proper in the UK. The band's live reputation has grown, leading them to support the likes of Kraftwerk, Ladytron, Calvin Harris, Carl Craig & Soulwax. More recently they played at CMJ in New York. The band got in touch with Flood (U2, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins) and Tom Rixton (Elastica, Tom Vek) and subsequently have had this track remixed by both of them. Dark Room Notes' album 'We Love You Dark Matter' was recorded in two weeks at London's Miloco Studios and is set for a release on BBE later this year, looking set to build on this infectious introduction.
