New Yorker Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison signed a publishing deal with Chrysalis this week and is currently fielding interest from labels. His double A-side Neon Gold single Animal Animal/ A Funny Thing was released to widespread coverage last month, as well as radio plays on XFM and BBC Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe and Rob da Bank. He has recently been profiled in Guardian's New Band of The Day slot, on BBC's Newsbeat site and, as with all of Neon Gold's releases, a plethora of blog write-ups (including this from one of our favourites Nialler9). Fair Warning is taken from the album he has just finished recording, with mixing duties from Dan Grech (Kaiser Chiefs, Scissor Sisters, Moby). It's another great track from him, with a really memorable pop chorus. Penguin Prison is available for records. JF
