When we first featured this from the Belgian born, Melbourne-based singer songwriter last year we described it as a 'short but brilliantly joyful piece of soul-pop'. It was a summer anthem in Australia, with the album Like Drawing Blood being voted Triple J's listeners favourite and iTunes UK staff pick of the year in 2008. Never quite getting the further recognition it deserved (and still does deserve) over here, this is now lined up to be Gotye's first ever physical release in the US through a Neon Gold limited release. A Passion Pit remix completes the package, while Gotye works on a new album for later this year. JF.
