We say
A writer and live performer with a growing reputation since his 2007 self-released debut album, Tom Hickox's 'Let Me Be Your Lover' will probably split opinion. We were won over by engrossing, intelligently assembled ballads like this ââ¬â and there's no denying a distinctive voice is at work. Hickox was recently tipped by Neil McCormick in The Daily Telegraph who wrote that ââ¬Åhis operatic baritone psychodramas sound like Leonard Cohen crossed with Antony and the Johnsonsââ¬Â. Check him out at his forthcoming London gigs and also at SXSW in March, and post your opinion on our messageboard. JF London gig: February 11, Regal Room at The Distillers W6Contact
