Formerly lead singer in a band called the Guild, which also featured his brother and sister, Joe Rose is a 25-year-old from Sheffield. We featured the brilliant track, 'Til I'm Dust, from The Guild back in May '06. Since going solo about a year ago, he has been writing and working with producers, including this one which was produced by Liam Howe (Sneaker Pimps). Every instrument you hear on 'Everything' is played by Joe, who not unlike his music with The Guild mixes aspects of the widescreen sound of Keane and Coldplay along with touches of ambitious and experimental Mercury Rev-style work. This sounds very accomplished and very commercial. JF
