We've long been fans of Edinburgh-based Alex Cornish, featuring the great 'My Word, What A Mess' last year when he self-released his debut album. There was a great reaction across the board to that release, radio play and sessions followed for Jim Gellatly, Tom Robinson and Dermot O’Leary’s R2 show. Now with an established industry team in place to support him, the album is re-released early next year with this title track as the lead single. The calibre of songwriting and restrained production both drip with quality - this is a rewarding listen. JF London gig: September 9, Water Rats WC1.
