We've been fans of Jape first we first found saw him play 'Floating' at SXSW in 2007. That track found viral fame on YouTube because of a great video. 'I Was A Man' is the first track to be released from his first album for Co OP Music/V2, 'Ritual'. The album itself is a blend of strong electro-powered numbers like this and stoner-folk like the beautiful 'At The Heart Of All This Strangeness'. It's a really enjoyable album displaying infectious experimental music with deft lyrical touches - Jape deserves to find widespread support. Watch the video here. JFContact
