Yoav is an interesting new artist with an equally fascinating background which has seen him grow up and live in Israel, Cape Town, New York and now London. Producer Marius de Vries discovered him, then Rollo Armstrong signed him to Field. Early radio support for him has come from sources as varied as Judge Jules and Colin Murray at Radio 1, but also internationally, big stations in US, Canada and Denmark have picked up on Yoav early. Plenty of mp3 blogs have also featured tracks from him. He's currently on a 50 date North American tour with Tori Amos and this is lined up as an iTunes Single of the Week (at the busiest time of year for the store). He teases every sound possible out of his guitar - whether plucking it delightfully or beating it like a drum, and we enjoyed every note on his highly impressive debut album Charmed and Strange.
