Toothpaste Kisses is the fourth single to be released from Brighton band, The Maccabees', debut album. Colour It In is making all the right end-of-year lists, with Artrocker making it their album of the year, Drowned In Sound shortlisting it for the same and a nomination for the inaugural XFM New Music Awards. Toothpaste Kisses also features on a Samsung mobile phone advert which is now running. This has just been added to both the XFM and Radio 1 upfront list 7 weeks upfront. Far from an overnight success, this could be the release that makes 18 months of work under radar pay off - it's certainly a song good enough to place them in full view. JF
