German band Super700 are a Berlin-based collective of seven musicians, led by three sisters. The project started as a jazz trio and morphed into a pop-rock outfit. They caught the ear of American producer Gordon Raphael (Regina Spektor, The Strokes) who produced their full debut album, which was released in Germany last year though Motor Music. They caught many people's attention when they played live at this year's Musexpo in LA. There's a hint of PJ Harvey in Ibadet Ramadani's vocals on this track. While the band's sound is stirring and melancholic, it also retains an atmospheric edge. Quality stuff. Watch the video here. JF
