This is a fine piece of bouncy, piano-heavy pop from newly-signed London trio Scouting For Girls. Early support is building for them, with plays from the likes of Marsha Shandur at XFM and Steve Lamacq at Radio 1. These are especially good quality bedroom demos, so we have high hopes for the studio recordings, which are being finished at the moment, before their debut EP is released in June through the recently revived Epic label. Musically and stylistically, the whole package is very charming and really well-executed. JF London gig: 4 April, Water Rats WC1
